Overview

The extensive bugyal, Kush Kalyani is truly blessed with nature located in an idyllic setting. The bugyal can be reached by the trek that lies on Gangotri- Sri Kedarnath old bridle route near Belak hamlet and mala village and is part of Khatling Sahastra Tal trek. The motor head Ghuttu in the Tehri district serves as the beginning point of this trek that takes you to this valley. One of the most beautiful valleys in Western Himalayas, this bugyal is blanked with Alpine meadows, and richly diverse flora and fauna. Elevated at a height of 3556 m, it is a great trekking destination for people in search of serenity and alluring beauty.

Proving as an ideal place for camping and trekking, Kush Kalyani offers the spectacular view of Masar Tal: the camping and adventure destination, Matri Peak and the Jaonli Peak.

 

The trek also serves the view of pious Bhagirathi Peak which is said to be named after the renowned King Bhagirath, who constrained Goddess Ganga to fall from heavens in the form of furious torrent as an answer to his unwavering austerity. It is a journey that takes you to the source of Ganga river areas and is the only Ganga valley that has the scenic view of mountains and meadows.

 

Kush Kalyani trek is surely one such trek in which one can relax, gather oneself up and lose oneself in the charm of the Mother Nature.  Among the most scenic alpine meadows of the Garwahal region, it is a place which will take you far away from the hustle bustle of the city life and human interruptions.
