Earlier named as the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram, this beautiful dwelling is located on a picture perfect spot in the lap of the Rajaji National Park enveloped with the mesmerizing river Ganga on one side and the dense deep forests on the other.
The attention of the entire world was drawn to this serene place when the band members of a the famous English Band Beatles visited and stayed at this place in 1968. The place was in the news for quite a while but with time the buzz died down and recently the Uttarakhand Forest department has finally converted the Ashram into an eco-friendly tourism destination.
