Historical references to the trek

The Har-Ki-Dun valley trek is your chance to trek along an ancient trail while you visit many unique hamlets en-route. All of them are over three centuries-old villages. While staying there, you will get a bizarre cultural experience and will know about the inhabitants' ancient life. These protected villages have a life beyond the outer world as they retained their age-old culture. From the hand-weaved woolen clothes, wooden houses, and their places of worship to food grown on their field, all speak volumes of past civilization still infused in their life.

Further, the background of this valley is such that you will discover the distinct myth of Pandavas linked with this region. It is supposed that Pandavas landed at the pastures of Har Ki Dun to ascend the Swargarohini mountain, considering this would be their gateway to paradise.

About the journey
