The Gaddi Rajputs are the indigenous tribe of this region. From the past thousand years, they carry the goods and herds of sheep from Kangra to Chamba through the ancient Indrahar Pass. Itinerary

Day 1 : Trek Mcleodganj to Triund via Bhagsunag

Start your trek to the Indrahar Pass from the Bhagsunag village situated near the hill town of McLeodganj. The uphill trail takes you through deodar, oak and rhododendron forests. En-route you'll see the mighty mountains of the Dhauladhar Range. Reach Triund.

Overnight stay at camp.

Altitude: 2875 m

Duration: Around 5 hrs

Day 2 : Triund to Laka Got

Today first acclimatize yourself for steep ascent ahead. You will trek along rocky and almost barren terrain. At the top of the hill cross the Kunal Pathri temple. Reach Laka Got nestled on a small glacier, which is the base of Indrahar Pass.

Overnight stay at camp over the glacier.

Altitude: 3200 m

Duration: Around 5 hrs

Day 3 : Trek from Laka to Inderhara pass

Early morning, you'll start the actual trek to Indrahar Pass. Climb along the north-eastern ridge and rocky terrain. This whole day you have to cross a challenging route, where you will trek steep slopes in many regions. You will also see incredible snow-clad peaks of the entire Kangra Valley on reaching the summit. You can click photos of the bounties of mesmerizing landscapes visible from the top.

After spending some time here, go downhill to return the Laka Got.

Duration: Around 8 hrs

Day 4 : Trek from Laka Got to Triund, Drive Mcleod Ganj

On the last day of the trek, take a downhill route until you reach quaint Bhagsu village located near the waterfall. Enjoy some refreshing time near the waterfall. Then you have to drive further to reach McleodGanj. Relax or wander around McleodGanj.
