Travel To and From the Kedarkhanta Trek
Visiting the starting point of Kedarkhanta trek, Sankri, is not difficult. Trekkers can easily get to the base camp through local transportations. Nevertheless, before that, they need to reach Dehradun.
- Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport to the trek located at a distance of 25 kilometres from Sankri. There are regular flights to Dehradun available from different parts of the nation. Once you are at the airport, you can use local transport or get a cab to get to Sankri.
- Trains to Dehradun are also available from different parts of the country. Once you are at the station, there are private vehicles and buses available for Sankri.

Itinerary
Driving to Sankri from Dehradun. The distance you will have to cover is 900 kilometres, and this will take approximately 9 to 10 hours.
Start your trek from Juda Ka Talab lying at a distance of 5 kilometres from Sankri. It will take you 4 to 5 hours to reach the place.
Trekking to the Kedarkhanta base, which is 5 kilometres away and takes around 3 hours.
Trekking to the Kedarkhanta range and returning on the same day. This will take you 6 to 7 hours as the place lies at a distance of 7 kilometres.
Trekking back to Sankri, which is 8 kilometres away and takes four to five hours.
Moving to Dehradun from Sankri. Yet again you will have to cover a distance of 200 kilometres which will take 9 to 10 hours.
