Overview



Kedarnath located at an altitude of 3584 m and is world popular for the presence of the holy  temple of Lord Kedarnath (Lord Shiv). According to Hindu mythology, It’s a magnificent temple built by the Pandavas at the lower of the Kedarnath Peak facing the South-east to the KedarParvat where millions of pilgrims offer their prayers to the Lord Shiva. Kedarnath trekking makes its start from Gaurikund where there is a famous hot water spring. People take a holy bath in that spring to get freed from the fatigue of trekking and then the route takes the trekkers through the densely forests and some mesmerizing and beautiful waterfalls.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Rishikesh–Sonprayag – Gaurikund :

  • Arrive Rishikesh by early morning, and drive to Gaurikund, via Sonprayag about 250 kms.
  • Explore this beautiful town, for today, meet local people and listen their stories of survival during the Kedarnath flood, 2013.
  • Please ensure your medical checkup here for this trek.
  • Stay overnight here in lodges.

Day 2 : Gaurikund – Kedarnath – Vasuki Tal:

  • Get up early morning and be fast and take bath in Hot Spring Water, and start your trek to Kedarnath temple, as soon as possible, about 8 km.
  • You can hire horse if needed; otherwise you are trekker you must walk up.
  • Look for this beautiful valley, and majestic views of mountains.
  • On arrival, worship here and take blessings by Lord Shiva with you.
  • After lunch here, start climbing to Vasuki Tal, explore this crystal clear lake.
  • Spend overnight here in camps.

Day 3 : Kedarnath - Kedarnath – Gaurikund:

  • Getup early and feast your eyes with the majestic views of crystal clear lake.
  • Get down to the Gaurikund back, and take a Hot Bath again in Hot Spring Water, to feel relax after your trek.
  • Visit through the local market, do some shopping of local market.
  • Stay overnight here in lodges or hotels.

Day 4 : Gaurikund – Rishkesh:

  • It’s time to get back to your destination back, this is the end of your trip.
