Madhyamaheshwar Trek
Overview
Madhmaheshwar temple or Madmaheshwar is mystically covered by the snow-capped Himalayas. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in Goundar village in Rudraprayag district. The shepherd huts, village houses, thousands of years old Madmaheshwar temple and picturesque views complete this town with intensive beauty of nature. The temple’s architecture is a classic north Indian style or the Nagaras style. This is the best site if you are architecture lover.
Mythological aspect: The shrine or temple is believed to have been constructed by the Pandavas Prince Bhima, who worshipped Shiva in order to wash away his sins of killing his cousins, the Kauravas and Brahmahatya, killing the Brashmins during the Mahabharata.
